Possibly couple the above with a visit to Lord Byron’s Grave in Hucknall Torkard church.
A trip to the Nottingham Caves (a bit touristy but quite interesting).
Nottingham Castle museum (5 mins walk from the hotel).
A river boat trip on the River Trent.
