Want to win free tickets to the 2011 UK Unconvention or be one of the prize winners on the Saturday afternoon?
Read on for full details of how to enter all of our current Unconvention competitions.
Free tickets to the Unconvention
Up for grabs are a pair of free tickets for the UK Unconvention in Nottingham from 23rd – 25th September 2011.
In order to win this fantastic prize, you need to complete all three of the following steps:
- Guess how many books I will have registered on my BookCrossing account by the end of my birthday (8th July 2011). You can find my BookCrossing home page here – pingucb. At the time of writing I have 197 registered books. I tend to do several at a time when I get a chance to and I do have a few sitting around the house currently waiting to be registered.
- Make a link to the Unconvention website somewhere else on the web – this could be for example a tweet on Twitter, a link on your Facebook page, a blog entry, a comment on the BookCrossing forums or a link on your website.
- Either send your entry to our webmaster Gary using the Contact Us form, or enter by making a comment on the News story about this competition. (I promise not to be influenced by any entries in the comments!). Entries need to include a number for how many books you think I will have registered and details of where you have linked back to the website.
The winner will be the nearest guess for the number of books on my shelf, who has also met the other competition entry requirements. In the event of a draw between two or more entries, the winner will be chosen from those entries by random selection.
Closing date for entries is Sunday 19th June and the winner will be announced shortly after 8th July.
Please note that if the winner has already paid for their Unconvention entry, they can request either a refund of their payment and/ or additional tickets for friends and family.
Make a Ballycumber Competition
In order to get everybody in the Unconvention spirit, we have a competition to keep you busy over the months running up to the main event.
We are looking for the best creative interpretation of – Make a Ballycumber!
Entries can be created in any format e.g woodwork, sewing, knitting, metalwork, craft, baking etc etc, so get your creative juices flowing and surprise us!
Competition entries should be brought along to the beginning of the Unconvention weekend and will be placed on display for all attendees to view. A panel of judges will decide the winner during Saturday afternoon and prizes will be awarded to the winner and runner up at the end of the day.
We look forward to seeing a parade of Ballycumbers in Nottingham on the Unconvention weekend!!
