The traditional Unconvention raffle will take place at the end of the main events on Saturday afternoon. Tickets will be on sale during Friday and Saturday for just 10p each.

We are planning to have an exciting line-up of themed prizes and more details about some of these can now be seen at the bottom of this page. If you are interested in donating a raffle prize or in being involved with the creation of a unique Ballycumber blanket for the raffle then read on.

Donating Prizes

The committee are hugely grateful to everyone who has offered to donate raffle prizes for the Unconvention weekend. If you have something in mind which you would like to donate as a raffle prize, please contact us to let us know. We need to know about potential prizes in advance, so that we have a clear idea of what items we have available to offer as prizes and what themes the different prizes will take. Ideally items will need to be posted to Nottingham in advance so that we can let everyone else know what they are on the website as well as put them on display from Friday onwards at the event.

The Raffle Blanket

One of our star raffle prizes will be a unique blanket which is being created specially for the Unconvention weekend. For details of how to get involved in the blanket’s creation, please visit our dedicated Raffle Blanket webpage.

The Prizes

We are starting to gather a really exciting lineup of themed raffle prizes. It’s looking as though we’ll have around 12 prizes altogether, a selection of which are listed below:

The Nottingham Prize – a selection of Nottingham related items and books

The Norway Prize – a selection of Norwegian books and other items

The Swedish Children’s Prize – a selection of Swedish children’s books and toys

Andreas the Reading Rat – along with some Bremen themed items and a book about chocolate (one of his favourite things!)

The Bally Hood Blanket – along with some books to read and music to listen to while snuggled under it

50 Books to Read Before You Die – with books, a bookmark and postcards related to this theme

A Book Releasing Pack – with loads of BookCrossing release supplies and a tote bag to carry it all in

The Girly Girl Prize – featuring several items of jewellery including a handmade bangle and some chick lit to read while wearing it

Look out for the Raffle table during the Unconvention weekend, where you will be able to see all the prizes on offer and select which one(s) you want to enter the draw for.
