Update 8th August 2011

In the absence for now of a new European Supply Store as promised by BookCrossing HQ, gingergeoff has very kindly volunteered to open up the UK Supply Store for one final time at the 2011 UK Unconvention in Nottingham. At present, the plans are for the store to be open from 10-11.15am on the Saturday morning of the Unconvention, but please keep an eye on the Schedule page for any updates to this.

The Uncon Supply Store will offer only that stock that gingergeoff had not sold when the UK Store officially closed earlier this year. As BookCrossing HQ have not yet arranged collection of this stock, they have agreed that it can be made available at the Unconvention. However this of course means that only limited stock will be available on a first come, first served basis. Gingergeoff will not be taking orders in the run up to the event and there are no plans currently for the UK store to fully reopen.

Update July 2011

As you may well have already heard, the UK BookCrossing Supply Store has now been closed. The UK store was run brilliantly by Gingergeoff since May 2008, but the decision was taken late last year by the BookCrossing powers that be that the store was no longer needed.

Unfortunately, as a European store has not yet been opened, the only option for purchase of BookCrossing supplies is to go through the central store on the main BookCrossing website. This also means that supplies will not be available for purchase at this year’s Unconvention in Nottingham.

A Message From Gingergeoff

I’m afraid that there is no longer a Supply Store in the UK. In line
with announcements made on the BookCrossing newsletters, stock should
now be purchased from the main BookCrossing Supply Store, or the
European Supply Store once it finally opens.

Many thanks for all of the support over the last 3 years. I have enjoyed
running the store in the UK as it has brought me in contact with many
bookcrossers, but the time has come for it to end.

Thanks, Geoff (Gingergeoff)
